Rock Climbing at Mt. Buros

Mt. Buros on the left.

8th Jan 12, Sunday! Andy & Yi Chuan were in town for a week or so for holidays and of cause climbing without a doubt. Since I never been to Mt. Buros which Alex has setup some climbing route there months ago, given a chance to go along I would just take it...

On the way there, we stop by at Pekan Tapah to check out a small Limestone Mountain which was kind of just at the back of the small temple. Look like a sacred place or maybe not.

Not even get out of the car, I was "WOW" by the scenery even its was just grey clouds hanging above. We part the car at the road side and proceed to the Mt. on foot! Went through pepper plantation, paddy field, Durian plantation and also Cacao plantation. For some this maybe an experience! I grew up in this environment. Going back to this environment reminded me of when my bro and me running around and catching stuff.

The Wall look nice! Alex said he bolted few route rating from 5c to 7c+ climb. Though climb on the 7c+ with the over hanging part. Andy & Yi Chuan on the other hand, checking out potential site at the other side of the wall to set up route. Andy climb up from the ground and go up slowly to setup the route rather than repelling down from the top (That will take a longer time I guess). Wasn't an easy job done as some part of the climb are wet at this time of the year!

I left the place around 4pm as need to get to an appointment down town. Will be back again hopefully.

Update: few days after this trip, Andy, Yi Chuan, Alex went there to climb and setup route again. They finished till 7pm then a villager walk up to them and tell them "Don't come here climb anymore" That raise to a question. "WHY?" Maybe a talks with the village head will clear that out hopefully. Will update on that. Its really a shame that If climbers can't climb there since personal effort, sweat and money been put on the wall by the climbers.
